Only a few more days until Duane and I are in New York; Yankee game, Giants/Jets preseason game, and of course FOOD! I am so excited, even if they are calling for rain. Rain or shine, we are going to have so much fun, I can’t wait! Anyway….
I meant to type this post about a better iced coffee a long time ago; but time gets away -sigh-. Coffee is my absolute favorite beverage, which is why I am shocked at myself for not doing this sooner. During the summer months I tend to drink more iced coffee than hot, so I have found myself frequenting the local coffee shop…a little too often. I decided to start making my own iced deliciousness at home and that is when I thought about this. What is the one thing that sucks about iced coffee… the ice melts WAY too fast. I feel the last 1/4 of the cup is sweetened water. Well, here is the solution to non-watered down caffeinated bliss:
Simply make two cups of coffee; stronger the better in my book. Pour into ice trays and freeze. Use the coffee cubes in place of regular ice cubes for a better iced coffee.
Enjoy!
PS
Speaking of ice…. if you do the ice bucket challenge… remember it is for ALS awareness!!!
